Turkmenistan and Pakistan Strengthen Trade and Energy Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Atajan Movlamov, held a productive meeting with Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, in Islamabad last Wednesday. The discussions underscored the importance of enhancing bilateral and transit trade between the two nations.

According to the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Pakistan, both sides reiterated their commitment to the active implementation of previously reached agreements, while also exploring new opportunities for future cooperation. The finalization of key agreements was a focal point of the meeting, aimed at further strengthening economic ties.

This meeting builds on prior discussions held on July 24, 2024, when Turkmenistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Rashid Meredov, and Pakistan’s Federal Minister of Petroleum, Musadik Masood Malik, reviewed bilateral cooperation in the fuel and energy sector, reflecting the growing partnership between Turkmenistan and Pakistan in critical areas of mutual interest.
