Tajik Ambassador Visits GIFT University

Gujranwala, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan, Yusuf Sharifzoda, held a meeting on April 15, 2026, with Founder and Chairman of GIFT University, Muhammad Anwar, and Chairman of the Gujranwala Business Alliance, Ahmad Ikram Lone, to explore avenues for enhanced bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, the participants discussed prospects for strengthening collaboration between Tajikistan and Pakistan in the fields of education and science. Key areas of focus included the launch of joint academic programs, promotion of academic exchange initiatives, and the expansion of institutional linkages between higher education institutions of both countries.

As part of his visit, Ambassador Sharifzoda also interacted with students of GIFT University, exchanging views on educational opportunities, international academic exposure, and future collaboration.

At the conclusion of the discussions, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing mutually beneficial cooperation, particularly in higher education and research, reflecting the growing ties between Tajikistan and Pakistan.
