UAE and Belgium Hold Political Consultations to Strengthen Bilateral Ties
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held significant discussions with Hadja Lahbib, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, ahead of the second round of Political Consultations between the two nations.
The meeting, held on July 16th at Minister Lahbib’s office, reaffirmed the robust relations between the UAE and Belgium and underscored their shared commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation.
The political consultation, co-chaired by Assistant Minister Nusseibeh and Theodora Gentzis, President of the Board of Directors of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, covered a range of topics including the humanitarian situation in Gaza and avenues for enhancing mutual cooperation.
Both parties reviewed the expanding bilateral relations and explored opportunities to bolster economic and trade ties. They emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing shared concerns and advancing common interests.
The discussions also encompassed recent regional developments, with a focus on strengthening economic relations and cooperation across various multilateral platforms.
Assistant Minister Nusseibeh commended the current state of UAE-Belgium bilateral relations and highlighted the significance of fostering deeper collaboration across all sectors.
Accompanying Assistant Minister Nusseibeh was Mohamed Al Sahlawi, UAE Ambassador to the EU, Belgium, and Luxembourg, further reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to enhancing relations with Belgium.
