UAE, Bahrain Leaders Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation, Regional Stability
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain discussed the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various fields, particularly in the economic and development sectors.
The discussions took place during a meeting in Abu Dhabi, where Sheikh Mohamed received King Hamad, who arrived in the UAE on a fraternal visit.
The two leaders reviewed opportunities to enhance cooperation in support of the shared priorities and interests of the UAE and Bahrain. They also exchanged views on regional and international developments of mutual concern, particularly developments in the Middle East and ongoing efforts to promote security, stability and peace for the benefit of the region’s countries and peoples.
Both sides expressed pride in the deep-rooted ties between the UAE and Bahrain and reaffirmed their commitment to further advancing bilateral cooperation, particularly amid the shared challenges facing the region and the importance of continued coordination and joint action.
King Hamad praised the UAE’s steadfast support for Bahrain, noting its contribution to strengthening the Kingdom’s capabilities and effectiveness in addressing various challenges.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State; and a number of senior officials.
Also attending were Lieutenant General Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, National Security Adviser and Commander of the Royal Guard of Bahrain, along with members of the Bahraini delegation, including several sheikhs and officials.
Earlier, King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa arrived in the UAE, where he was received at the airport by President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
