UAE Elected to ASOSAI Governing Board for 2024-2027 Term
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The UAE, represented by the UAE Accountability Authority, has been elected to the Governing Board of the Asian Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) for the 2024-2027 period. This significant decision was announced during the 16th ASOSAI Assembly, held in New Delhi.
The UAE delegation, led by Humaid Obaid Abu Shabas, Chairman of the UAE Accountability Authority, actively participated in the assembly, which focused on fostering collaboration among Asian nations in public financial oversight and auditing. The assembly operates under the broader framework of the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), aiming to improve accountability and transparency across member states.
In addition to their involvement in the assembly’s sessions, the UAE delegation held bilateral meetings with representatives from other participating countries. These discussions aimed to strengthen cooperation in the areas of auditing and financial oversight, furthering the UAE’s commitment to fostering international partnerships and ensuring robust public financial governance across the region.
