UAE Participates in Extraordinary Session of Arab Economic and Social Council in Cairo

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: The United Arab Emirates took part in the extraordinary ministerial session of the Arab Economic and Social Council, held today at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.

Convened in preparation for the Fifth Arab Development, Economic and Social Summit—set to be held in Baghdad, Iraq, next month—the session brought together senior officials to deliberate on key economic and social development issues facing the Arab region.

The UAE delegation was led by Abdullah Ahmed Al Saleh, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Economy. The session was chaired by the Kingdom of Bahrain and attended by several high-level representatives, including Ambassador Dr. Haifa Abu Ghazaleh, Assistant Secretary-General of the Arab League and Head of the Social Affairs Sector, alongside Arab Ministers of Economy or their designated representatives.

The meeting underscored the commitment of Arab nations to coordinate and enhance joint efforts in addressing development challenges and advancing regional cooperation ahead of the upcoming summit in Baghdad.
