UAE Crown Prince, Chinese Premier Li Qiang Deepen Strategic Partnership

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Li Qiang held high-level talks in Beijing aimed at further strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and China, with a focus on expanding cooperation across key priority sectors.
The meeting took place during an official reception hosted by Premier Li Qiang in honor of the Crown Prince’s visit to China. At the outset, the Chinese Premier welcomed Sheikh Khaled and his delegation, expressing confidence that the visit would further enhance bilateral relations.
Sheikh Khaled conveyed his appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to deepening its strategic partnership with China, particularly in economic and development sectors. He emphasized the importance of building on the strong foundations of bilateral relations and advancing toward a more integrated phase of cooperation.
The discussions highlighted opportunities to strengthen collaboration in areas such as trade, investment, infrastructure, technology, and industrial development, while also enhancing supply chain resilience and fostering sustainable economic growth. Both sides underscored their shared role as key partners in the global economy.
The leaders also welcomed the success of the UAE–China Business Promotion Conference, held alongside the visit, which brought together investors and business leaders to explore expanding cooperation. Non-oil trade between the two countries reached approximately $111 billion in 2025, reflecting the growing scale of economic ties.
During the meeting, Sheikh Khaled and Li Qiang witnessed the signing of several Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) aimed at advancing cooperation in clean energy, investment, sustainable agriculture, environmental sustainability, health sciences, and advanced technology. The agreements also emphasize knowledge exchange and joint research initiatives.
In addition to bilateral matters, the two leaders exchanged views on regional and international developments, stressing the importance of promoting global stability, enhancing international coordination, and supporting peaceful solutions to conflicts.
Premier Li Qiang also hosted an official banquet in honor of the Crown Prince and his delegation, reflecting the close and enduring ties between the two nations. The gathering provided an opportunity for further dialogue and the exploration of new avenues of cooperation.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE and Chinese officials, underscoring the importance both countries place on advancing their comprehensive strategic partnership.
