UAE President Welcomes Hungarian Prime Minister to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan today welcomed His Excellency Viktor Orbán, Prime Minister of Hungary, during his official visit to the United Arab Emirates. The meeting, held at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, marked a significant step in enhancing the growing bilateral relations between the two nations.
Their discussions centered on ways to further boost cooperation in various sectors, particularly in the fields of economic growth, trade, investment, technology, infrastructure, and renewable energy. Both leaders emphasized the importance of fostering sustainable development to meet the aspirations of their peoples and ensure continued progress and prosperity.
His Highness Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its ties with Hungary, noting the vital role of the UAE-Hungary Joint Economic Committee and the Political Consultations Committee in facilitating these efforts. He expressed the UAE’s dedication to expanding cooperation across multiple sectors, including renewable energy and infrastructure development.
Prime Minister Orbán expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome extended by His Highness and underscored Hungary’s determination to strengthen its partnership with the UAE. He highlighted the shared vision for fostering economic growth and prosperity between the two nations.
During the meeting, the leaders witnessed the signing of several memoranda of understanding and agreements in areas including education, investment, and renewable energy. These agreements are aimed at broadening the scope of bilateral cooperation and addressing the evolving needs of both countries.
The MoUs were exchanged by His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and His Excellency Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
The meeting was attended by several prominent UAE officials, including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, and Reem bint Ebrahim Al Hashimy, among others. The Hungarian delegation, including ministers and senior officials, was also present.
This visit signifies a continued commitment by both countries to deepen their bilateral ties and explore new opportunities for collaboration, paving the way for mutual growth and prosperity in the years ahead.
