UAE Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Security and Sovereignty
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates has reaffirmed the United Arab Emirates’s steadfast commitment to supporting regional security and stability in coordination with regional and international partners.
In an official statement, the Ministry emphasized that all measures undertaken by the UAE fall within the framework of defensive actions aimed at protecting the country’s sovereignty, civilians, and vital infrastructure. The statement noted that these actions are consistent with the UAE’s legitimate right to safeguard its national security and preserve stability.
The Ministry further stressed that the UAE reserves its full sovereign, legal, diplomatic, and military rights to respond to any threat or hostile act targeting the country.
According to the statement, attempts at coercion or the spread of what it described as malicious narratives and allegations will not undermine the UAE’s principled positions, nor deter the country from defending its supreme national interests, sovereignty, and independent decision-making.
The Ministry also underscored that the UAE continues close coordination and consultations with member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council, alongside regional and international partners, to support regional peace and stability and further strengthen joint Gulf cooperation.
