UAE Reinforces Commitment to Global Collaboration and Sustainability at WEF 2025

Davos, The Gulf Observer: The UAE delegation, led by Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, met with Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF), during the 55th Annual Meeting of the Forum in Davos, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and addressing global challenges through innovative and sustainable solutions.

H.H. Sheikha Latifa underscored the UAE’s forward-thinking vision, guided by the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai. She highlighted the UAE’s dedication to enhancing global competitiveness and promoting sustainable and inclusive development.

This collaboration has included hosting events like the Annual Meeting of the Global Future Councils, which convenes global experts to develop strategies for addressing pressing challenges.

During the UAE WEF Leadership Meeting, H.H. Sheikha Latifa showcased Dubai’s pioneering efforts in cultural and creative industries, emphasizing the role of innovation and collaboration in tackling global issues such as climate change, economic resilience, and the transformative power of technology. She reaffirmed the integral role of culture and creativity in achieving sustainable development, stating, “Culture and innovation are at the heart of the UAE’s strategy for sustainable development. The meeting with Professor Klaus Schwab highlighted the UAE’s role as a bridge between global innovation and cultural preservation, reinforcing its leadership in shaping a sustainable, inclusive, and progressive future.
