Uzbekistan and Czech Republic Explore Enhanced Cooperation in Mining Industry

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Mining Industry and Geology of Uzbekistan held a meeting with a delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to Uzbekistan, Lubomir Frebort, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the mining and geological sectors.
During the talks, both sides emphasized the importance of implementing joint projects aimed at increasing production capacity and integrating advanced technologies into Uzbekistan’s mining industry. Particular focus was placed on the localization program, with discussions on the potential for joint production of mining equipment in collaboration with Czech companies.
The meeting also addressed opportunities for exchanging expertise and innovative solutions to further modernize the sector. Czech companies expressed a strong interest in investing in Uzbekistan’s mining industry, with proposals for promising projects put forward for consideration.
Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and agreed to develop a framework for collaboration, including the signing of formal agreements in the near future.
