The event, organized by the Uzbek embassy and the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria, highlighted the burgeoning cooperation between the two nations.

Key figures attending the event included Austrian Federal Deputy Minister of Finance Andreas Reichardt, Austrian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Matthias Radostich, Executive Director of the Economic Cooperation and Development Agency Dieter Hampel, Executive Director of the High Technologies Corporation Tino Terraneo, and Advisor of the Mining and Metallurgical Association Manfred Kudrna. At the outset of the meeting, Deputy Minister Andreas Reichardt expressed his pleasure at participating in the III Tashkent International Investment Forum earlier in May. He praised the economic reforms underway in Uzbekistan and reiterated Austria’s readiness to assist in attracting Austrian companies to projects aimed at improving the fuel and energy sector, and advancing the transition to clean and “green” energy.

Both sides approved the creation of a working group to explore cooperation prospects in the energy sector and to jointly implement advanced projects. Minister Mirzamahmudov provided an overview of the large-scale energy reforms in Uzbekistan, underscoring the transformative efforts led by the nation’s leadership.

The dialogue culminated in the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan and the Federal Ministry of Finance of Austria, marking a significant step forward in bilateral energy cooperation.

This event underscores the commitment of both Uzbekistan and Austria to foster deeper economic ties and collaborative efforts in sustainable energy development.
