Vietnam and Slovakia Endeavor to Enhance Delegation Exchanges
Bratislava, The Gulf Observer: Nguyễn Tuấn, the Vietnamese Ambassador to Slovakia, engaged in discussions with Marian Kery, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Slovak National Council (Parliament), to explore avenues for enhancing delegation exchanges between Vietnam and Slovakia in the forthcoming period.
The meeting, held at the headquarters of the Slovak Parliament on April 24, served as a platform for Tuấn to apprise his counterpart of ongoing delegation exchange initiatives between the two nations. Notably, Tuấn highlighted an upcoming visit to Slovakia by the Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly (NA) Committee for Science, Technology, and Environment, scheduled for early July.
Expressing Vietnam’s keenness to host Slovakian delegations in the near future, Tuấn conveyed his aspirations for deepening bilateral engagement across various sectors.
In response, Kery affirmed the readiness of the Slovak Parliament to accommodate the delegation from the Vietnamese NA Committee for Science, Technology, and Environment, despite a busy schedule in July, which includes engagements with the new Government and the incoming President, set to assume office in June.
Kery underscored the importance of information sharing between the two sides to bolster bilateral relations and pave the way for future collaboration.
During the meeting, Tuấn proposed that the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Slovak Parliament collaborate with relevant Slovakian agencies on the legalization of civil status documents issued by the Vietnamese Embassy for use within Slovakia.
In a gesture of appreciation, the Vietnamese Ambassador extended gratitude to Kery for his proactive efforts in facilitating bilateral relations, particularly in strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.
The discussions between Ambassador Tuấn and Chairman Kery underscored the commitment of both Vietnam and Slovakia to deepening their partnership through increased delegation exchanges and collaborative initiatives, laying the groundwork for enhanced cooperation and mutual understanding between the two nations.
