Vietnam Reaffirms Commitment to Deepening Solidarity and Cooperation with Cuba
Havana, The Gulf Observer: Vietnam remains dedicated to deepening and expanding its fraternal solidarity and comprehensive, trustworthy cooperation with Cuba, according to Vietnamese Ambassador Lê Quang Long. This statement followed the presentation of his credentials to Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermudez.
Ambassador Long emphasized that Vietnam holds profound gratitude for Cuba’s past assistance and consistently supports the just revolutionary cause of the Cuban people. “Vietnam always treasures and works unceasingly to deepen our fraternal solidarity and cooperation with Cuba,” he remarked.
In response, President Díaz-Canel expressed his appreciation for Vietnam’s solidarity and invaluable support. He affirmed Cuba’s commitment to strengthening the solidarity and cooperation between the two nations’ Parties, States, and peoples, continuing the historical relations fostered by President Hồ Chí Minh, President Fidel Castro, and General Raul Castro.
The Cuban President also congratulated Vietnam on successfully organizing activities to mark the 70th anniversary of the Điện Biên Phủ Victory. He highlighted that the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs is ready to collaborate with Vietnam in preparing for the celebrations of the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 2025.
This reaffirmation of mutual support underscores the enduring bond and collaborative spirit between Vietnam and Cuba.
