Xi Jinping and Lukashenko Reaffirm Strategic China-Belarus Partnership in Beijing

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China held talks on Wednesday with President Alexander Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus during the latter’s official visit to Beijing. The meeting reinforced the enduring strategic partnership between the two nations, with both leaders pledging to deepen cooperation across various sectors and uphold multilateralism.

President Xi congratulated President Lukashenko once again on his recent reelection, emphasizing the longstanding and sincere friendship between China and Belarus. “The two countries are true friends and good partners, treating each other with sincerity and trust,” Xi said, underlining that China views its relationship with Belarus from both a strategic and long-term perspective.

Highlighting the strong political mutual trust and expanding cooperation between the two countries, President Xi expressed China’s readiness to work with Belarus to ensure steady growth in bilateral relations and to foster win-win collaboration in diverse fields.

Xi also called for greater alignment within multilateral platforms such as the United Nations and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization. He urged both sides to jointly oppose hegemony and coercion while safeguarding international fairness and justice.

President Lukashenko, making his 15th official visit to China, expressed deep appreciation for the warm welcome and continuous support from China. “Each of my visits has reaffirmed the sincere friendship between our countries,” he said, noting Belarus’s strong trust in China and commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation.

Lukashenko also praised China’s principled stance in international affairs, particularly its firm opposition to unilateralism, sanctions, and external pressure. “China sets an example for the world by upholding multilateralism,” he stated, expressing Belarus’s willingness to work closely with China to protect international equity and justice.

The meeting marked another milestone in the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Belarus, underscoring a shared vision for deeper collaboration and stronger alignment in global governance.
