4th Tashkent Anti-Corruption Forum Set to Convene on October 17

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The 4th Tashkent Anti-Corruption Forum will be held in the country on October 17. It is expected to bring together more than 250 employees of anti-corruption agencies, international experts, and civil society representatives.

The event is organized by the Anti-Corruption Agency of the Republic of Uzbekistan jointly with the European Union, the German Society for International Cooperation, and the United Nations Development Programme.

According to the Anti-Corruption Agency, the forum will be attended by the leadership and representatives of anti-corruption agencies from Finland, Georgia, the Republic of Korea, Lithuania, Malaysia, the United States, China, Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, and Tajikistan.

A Memorandum of Understanding aimed at developing cooperation between the Anti-Corruption Agency and the UN Ethics Office is expected to be signed at the forum.

At the forum’s opening, territorial councils, organizations, media outlets, and journalists who contribute to the fight against corruption will be awarded.
