Qatar Condemns Israeli Bombing of Gaza School as Horrific Massacre

Doha, The Gulf Observer: The State of Qatar has vehemently condemned the Israeli occupation’s bombing of a school sheltering displaced people in eastern Gaza City, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of dozens. Qatar has labeled the attack a horrific massacre and a brutal crime against defenseless civilians, describing it as a flagrant violation of the fundamental principles of international humanitarian law and United Nations Security Council Resolution 2601.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated its call for an urgent international investigation. Qatar urged the dispatch of independent UN investigators to probe the ongoing targeting of schools and shelters for displaced persons by Israeli occupation forces. The Ministry emphasized the need for the international community to provide full protection for the displaced population and to prevent further attempts by Israeli forces to forcibly displace them from the Gaza Strip. Additionally, Qatar called on the international community to hold Israel accountable and compel it to adhere to international law.

The statement also reaffirmed Qatar’s steadfast support for the Palestinian cause, reiterating its commitment to the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
