Uzbekistan’s Men’s National Boxing Team Shines at Asian Championships in Thailand
Bangkok, The Gulf Observer: The Uzbekistan men’s national boxing team has made a remarkable showing at the Asian Boxing Championships, winning eight gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal.
In the tournament, which took place in Bangkok, Thailand, Uzbek boxers demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, emerging victorious in numerous matches. The team’s gold medalists include:
- Shodiyorjon Meliquziyev (-48 kg), who defeated Sanjar Tashkenbay of Kazakhstan with a score of 4:1.
- Asilbek Jalilov (-51 kg), who outperformed Marvin Tabamo of the Philippines.
- Mirazizbek Mirzakhalilov (-57 kg), who proved stronger than Orazbek Assilkulov of Kazakhstan.
In addition to these three gold medalists, Uzbekistan’s Mujibillo Tursunov, Khavasbek Asadullayev, Adhamjon Mukhiddinov, Javokhir Ummataliyev, and Turabek Khabibullayev also reached the top step of the podium.
Shakhzod Muzaffarov and Jasurbek Yuldashev took home silver medals, while Jakhongir Zokirov secured a bronze medal.
As a reward for their outstanding performance, each of the gold medalists will receive $8,000, while silver medalists will receive $4,000 each and bronze medalists will receive $2,000 each.
This impressive haul of medals marks a significant achievement for the Uzbekistan men’s national boxing team and is a testament to their hard work and dedication.
