Iranian President Highlights Strong Ties and Commitment to Expanding Relations with Tajikistan

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian emphasized the deep-rooted ties between Iran and Tajikistan, stating that Iran places no limits on expanding relations with its neighbor. President Pezeshkian made these remarks during a meeting with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Tajikistan, Mohammed Taher Zakirzadeh, in Dushanbe on Thursday.

Drawing attention to the shared cultural, linguistic, and historical bonds between the two nations, President Pezeshkian remarked, “I don’t feel alienated when traveling to Tajikistan. We speak the same language, and our nations share a friendship that spans thousands of years.”

He underscored the significance of Iran-Tajikistan relations, expressing Tehran’s readiness to address challenges and strengthen bilateral ties. “Wherever there is a problem, the Islamic Republic will strive to resolve it,” President Pezeshkian affirmed.

The Iranian president also expressed optimism about the recently signed cooperation agreements between the two countries. “I hope the documents signed today will be implemented promptly, leading to the progressive development of our bilateral cooperation,” he stated.

The meeting underscored both nations’ commitment to enhancing ties across various sectors, further solidifying their historic partnership.
