UAE participates in 9th annual conference of Arab Association of Secretaries-General of Parliaments.
Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Dr. Omar Al Nuaimi, Secretary-General of the Federal National Council (FNC), today participated in the ninth annual conference of the Arab Association of Secretaries-General of Parliaments (AASGP), the House of Representatives in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
The two-day meeting opened with speeches by Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadala, President of AASGP, Counselor Ahmed Manna, Vice President of AASGP, and Fayez Al Shawabkeh, Secretary-General of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union.
The conferees discussed proposals to issue a magazine and to amend the statute and bylaws of the AASGP.
During the meeting, the former Secretaries-General of the Arab parliaments were honored, where Dr. Al Nuaimi received the former Secretary-General of the Council Ahmed Shabib Al Dhaheri shield of honour.
