Iranian Foreign Minister Hails Unprecedented Trust in Tehran-Cairo Relations

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has described the current level of trust and confidence in relations between Tehran and Cairo as unprecedented, signaling a new phase in diplomatic engagement between the two regional powers.

Following his official visit to Egypt, Araqchi shared a statement on social media platform X on Tuesday, expressing satisfaction with the outcome of his trip. He characterized his meetings with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty as highly significant and constructive.

“Diplomacy between Iran and Egypt has entered a new phase,” Araqchi stated, adding that the growing level of interaction, political cooperation, and, most notably, mutual trust between the two nations is unlike any period in recent history.

Highlighting the cultural and civilizational depth of both countries, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized that Iran and Egypt, as two influential regional powers, share a common responsibility in promoting peace, stability, and tranquility across the Middle East.

Araqchi praised the quality of dialogue held during his visit, referring to the discussions as “very effective.” His trip to Cairo began on Sunday and included meetings on Monday with President El-Sisi and Foreign Minister Abdelatty, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and reviewing regional developments.

Iran and Egypt have been working to rebuild diplomatic relations over the past two years, and Araqchi’s visit marks a significant step forward in these efforts.
