Kazakhstan’s Anna Danilina Clinches Women’s Doubles Title at Lexus Eastbourne Open

Eastbourne, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstani tennis star Anna Danilina secured the women’s doubles title at the prestigious Lexus Eastbourne Open, marking a significant milestone in her professional career, media reported.
Danilina, partnering with Marie Bouzkova of the Czech Republic, triumphed over the duo of Hsieh Su-Wei of Taiwan and Maya Joint of Australia in straight sets, with a scoreline of 6–4, 7–5 in the final.
This victory ends a string of near-misses for Danilina, who had previously fallen short in three consecutive finals – including appearances in London, Nottingham, and at the French Open (Roland Garros). The Eastbourne title is her long-awaited breakthrough, reinforcing her position among the top doubles competitors on the tour.
In related news, fellow Kazakhstani player and second seed Alexander Shevchenko suffered an early defeat at the Boodles exhibition event, a tune-up tournament ahead of Wimbledon.
