President Ilham Aliyev Presents Karabakh Horse to Turkmen Leader During Visit to Shusha

Shusha, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov visited the historic Jidir Duzu plain in the city of Shusha on Wednesday, July 17.
During the visit, a special presentation of the renowned Karabakh horses was held at the site, showcasing one of Azerbaijan’s most treasured national symbols.
As a gesture of friendship and deepening bilateral ties, President Ilham Aliyev presented a Karabakh horse named “Dostlug”—meaning “Friendship”—to Chairman Berdimuhamedov. The symbolic gift underscores the strong cultural and diplomatic bonds between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan.
The exchange took place in a warm and cordial atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of mutual respect and cooperation shared by the two nations.
