Azerbaijan Reaffirms Unwavering Support for Türkiye Ahead of COP31

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan has reaffirmed its unwavering support for brotherly Türkiye as it prepares to host the next United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP31).
Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made the remarks while addressing the high-level opening ceremony of the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Fourth Climate Week (CW4), held in Baku on September 9. The event was hosted by Azerbaijan and organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“I would like to reaffirm Azerbaijan’s unwavering support for brotherly Türkiye as it prepares to host the next COP,” Bayramov said.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister highlighted cooperation between the COP29 and COP31 presidencies as a significant example of regional solidarity.
He said the cooperation would help ensure continuity in the global climate agenda, promote the development of ambitious climate finance mechanisms and contribute to sustained progress in international climate action.
Bayramov stressed that continued coordination between climate conference presidencies was important for maintaining momentum in global efforts to address climate change and advance common climate objectives.
