Saudi and French Interior Ministers Sign Executive Document to Strengthen Security Cooperation

Paris, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif held official talks on Monday with French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau in Paris, culminating in the signing of an executive document to advance future security cooperation between the two countries.
The high-level meeting included a bilateral session where the two ministers reviewed pressing security issues, focusing on combatting organized crime, drug trafficking, and money laundering. Both sides also discussed ways to enhance the exchange of expertise and best practices in various security-related fields.
Prince Abdulaziz highlighted that the talks are in line with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, who have prioritized the strengthening of Saudi-French relations, particularly in the area of internal security.
He praised the significant progress achieved in bilateral cooperation over recent years and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to expanding joint efforts with France in addressing transnational criminal threats.
On the occasion, Prince Abdulaziz also extended his congratulations to Minister Retailleau and the people of France on the celebration of Bastille Day, wishing continued security, prosperity, and stability to the French Republic.
The executive document signed during the visit institutionalizes bilateral cooperation in multiple security domains and lays the groundwork for an expanded partnership between the Saudi and French interior ministries. The agreement reflects both countries’ shared commitment to enhancing international security collaboration and effectively responding to evolving global threats.
