Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Attend Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Turkmenistan

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev is set to participate in the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3), scheduled to be held from August 5 to 8 in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, located on the Turkmen coast of the Caspian Sea. The announcement was made by the press service of the Kazakh leader.

“On August 5, the Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will take part in the work of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries,” the official statement noted.

The upcoming conference is expected to be attended by the heads of 32 states, heads of government, delegations from UN member states, the UN Secretary-General and his deputies. Representatives from international and regional organizations, legislative bodies, financial institutions, civil society groups, and the private sector will also join the proceedings.

Alongside the official sessions, the event will feature thematic exhibitions, including displays organized by the Turkmen side. The program will also include national days of Central Asian states, cultural performances, and a grand gala concert featuring prominent cultural and artistic figures.
