Kazakhstan and Pakistan Discuss Expansion of Transport and Logistics Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Yerzhan Kistafin, together with the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Atajan Movlamov, held a meeting with the Federal Minister of Railways of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Hanif Abbasi.
During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin briefed the minister on ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, including planned events for the second half of 2025. He placed special emphasis on the transport and logistics sector, expressing Kazakhstan’s intention to activate and diversify international transport corridors linking the two countries. Particular attention was given to railway projects that are expected to significantly boost both bilateral and regional trade.
Federal Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi welcomed the initiatives, expressing Pakistan’s interest in strengthening cooperation with Kazakhstan in the transport and logistics domain and diversifying existing trade routes, including through the use of multimodal formats.
In response to the invitation to visit Kazakhstan and participate in the TransLogistica Kazakhstan 2025 international exhibition and the New Silk Way transport forum in Almaty, the minister expressed his gratitude and confirmed his participation.
