Azerbaijan

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan took part in the 20th International “Cultural Tourism” Exhibition held in the Bulgarian city of Veliko Tarnovo from October 8 to 10, showcasing the rich cultural and historical heritage of Shusha.

The country was represented at the exhibition by the Shusha City State Reserve Administration and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria.

Throughout the event, English-language booklets and brochures highlighting Shusha’s historical and cultural significance, tourism potential, and natural beauty were presented to visitors. Participants were also briefed on the city’s key tourist destinations and the ongoing restoration and reconstruction works implemented under the supervision of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

The Azerbaijani Embassy’s stand featured displays of traditional Azerbaijani cuisine, national souvenirs, handwoven carpets, and photographs that reflected the nation’s ancient history, vibrant culture, and scenic landscapes.

On the sidelines of the exhibition, the Azerbaijani delegation met with Daniel Panov, Mayor of Veliko Tarnovo. The meeting focused on strengthening cultural and tourism cooperation between the sister cities of Shusha and Veliko Tarnovo, including the organization of reciprocal visits, joint cultural and tourism events, and the exchange of expertise.

Azerbaijan’s participation in the “Cultural Tourism” Exhibition once again underscored the country’s commitment to promoting its cultural heritage and deepening international cultural ties.
