President Ilham Aliyev Reaffirms Azerbaijan’s Commitment to Strengthening Rule of Law

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev has reaffirmed that establishing a rule-of-law state remains a central pillar of Azerbaijan’s national policy, emphasizing the government’s ongoing commitment to judicial reform and the protection of human rights.
In a message addressed to participants of the 67th Annual Meeting of the International Association of Judges, President Aliyev underscored that the administration of justice serves as the cornerstone of human rights protection in Azerbaijan.
“The establishment of a rule-of-law state in the Republic of Azerbaijan remains a strategic priority of our national policy,” the President stated.
He highlighted that comprehensive measures are being implemented across the country to strengthen the judicial system and ensure that courts function as effective guarantors of justice.
“As a result of the consistent reforms undertaken in our country, the judicial efficiency has improved, citizens’ access to justice has expanded, and the independence of judges has been further solidified,” President Aliyev noted.
The Azerbaijani leader’s remarks reflect the government’s continued focus on aligning national judicial standards with international best practices, enhancing transparency, and reinforcing the judiciary’s institutional capacity as part of the nation’s broader reform agenda.
