Erdoğan Welcomes Newly Elected TRNC Leader Tufan Erhürman in Official Ceremony
Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Thursday received Tufan Erhürman, the newly elected president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), with an official welcoming ceremony at the presidential palace in the capital.
The ceremony was attended by Turkish Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, Presidential Chief Advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç, and several other senior officials.
The visit marks President Erhürman’s first official trip to Türkiye since his election in October, underscoring the close political ties and ongoing cooperation between Ankara and the TRNC.
Following the ceremony, the two leaders were expected to hold bilateral talks focusing on key areas of collaboration, the situation on the island, and future steps to further strengthen relations.
