Uzbekistan’s Investment & Trade Deputy Minister meets HRL Management

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On 14th January 2026, His Excellency Shokhrukh Kh. Gulamov, Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan along with Mr. Khurshid Rakhmanov, Head of the Department for Cooperation with South Asia, Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan met with the management of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd.

The HRL management included Mr. Najam ul Hassan, Executive Director, Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd, Mr. Shamil Ahmed, Director Administration, Capital Smart City, Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd, and Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Adviser to the Chairman, HRL Group.

The discussions focused on HRL’s role in Pakistan’s infrastructure and urban development landscape, company’s expertise in large-scale engineering projects, smart city development, and integrated urban solutions. The HRL management shared insights into their ongoing initiatives and future expansion plans in regional and international markets.

Deputy Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan H.E. Shokhrukh Kh. Gulamov outlined Uzbekistan’s strategic priorities in enhancing its investment climate, accelerating industrial development, and expanding trade partnerships across South and Central Asia. He emphasized the importance of engaging experienced international partners like HRL to support Uzbekistan’s vision for modern, sustainable, and investment-driven growth.

The Deputy Minister extended an invitation to the HRL Group to visit Uzbekistan to further assess opportunities and build long-term partnerships. The meeting concluded with a mutual understanding to maintain close coordination and advance discussions toward concrete collaboration that would contribute to stronger economic relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
