Baku, The Gulf Observer: Initiated by the Azerbaijan Children Public Union, a special event titled “After the Dark…” was held in Baku, bringing together children, cultural figures, and public representatives in support of vulnerable youth.

Arzu Aliyeva, Head of the Baku Media Center, attended the event, which aimed to foster creative skills among children residing at the Children’s Shelter–Reintegration Center operating under the Union, strengthen their self-confidence, and facilitate their successful reintegration into society.

As part of the program, 21 handicrafts created from recycled materials were exhibited, giving new life to discarded items. The exhibition reflected the principles of ecological responsibility while showcasing the children’s imagination and innovative thinking.

The event continued with performances by children undergoing rehabilitation, who staged selected episodes from Azerbaijani films and presented choreographed dance compositions.

Renowned Azerbaijani cultural figures joined the children on stage, including People’s Artists Flora Karimova, Alim Gasimov, Afag Bashirgizi, Honored Artist Fargana Gasimova, as well as singers Samir Baghirov and Elnur Mammadov, who supported the initiative by performing alongside the children.

The event concluded with the playing of the hymn of the Azerbaijan Children Public Union, dedicated to abandoned children, symbolizing hope, resilience, and collective responsibility toward the younger generation.
