Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Việtnam has expressed deep concern over the increasingly complex and escalating conflict in the Middle East, warning that the situation poses a serious threat to civilian lives as well as regional and global peace and stability.

Speaking on Saturday in response to reporters’ queries, Spokesperson of the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) Phạm Thu Hằng emphasized that Việt Nam is closely monitoring the latest developments and remains gravely concerned about the impact of the ongoing tensions.

Việt Nam has called upon all relevant parties to exercise maximum restraint, immediately cease escalatory actions, protect civilians and vital infrastructure, and resolve disputes through peaceful means in strict accordance with international law, the United Nations Charter, and relevant United Nations resolutions.

The spokesperson further underscored the necessity for all parties to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations, while creating favourable conditions for dialogue and peace negotiations to safeguard security, stability, and prosperity both regionally and globally.

In light of the latest developments, the MoFA, in coordination with relevant domestic agencies, has instructed Việt Nam’s representative missions in Iran and Israel to maintain close coordination with authorities at home, Vietnamese diplomatic missions in neighbouring countries, and host-country agencies. The missions have been directed to closely monitor the situation and remain fully prepared to implement necessary measures to ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens and diplomatic premises.

According to the latest reports from Vietnamese representative offices in Israel and Iran, all Vietnamese citizens currently residing in these areas are safe.

The MoFA has advised Vietnamese citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran, Israel, or neighbouring areas affected by the conflict unless absolutely necessary. Vietnamese nationals currently in Iran, Israel, or nearby conflict zones are urged to maintain regular contact with Vietnamese representative missions, closely follow official updates, and strictly comply with local government regulations and safety advisories.
