Pakistan Senate Chairman Reaffirms Support for Azerbaijan in Call with Speaker Ghafarova

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, held a telephone conversation with Speaker of Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, Sahiba Ghafarova, during which the two leaders discussed the latest developments in the region and bilateral parliamentary cooperation.
During the call, Gilani expressed concern over the drone attacks carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran on Azerbaijan and strongly condemned the strikes. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering support for Azerbaijan, emphasizing that Islamabad has always stood by Baku during challenging times.
Speaker Sahiba Ghafarova expressed her gratitude for Pakistan’s support and solidarity, highlighting the importance of the strong brotherly relations between the two countries.
Both sides also exchanged views on further strengthening cooperation between the parliaments of Azerbaijan and Pakistan, particularly in light of the tense and evolving global situation.
The conversation underscored the shared commitment of both nations to deepen parliamentary ties and continue close coordination on regional and international matters.
