London, The Gulf Observer: The Royal Army of Oman (RAO), represented by its Directorate of Catering, participated in the annual International Catering Exercise 2026, organized by the United Kingdom in the town of Grantham over a six-day period.

The RAO catering team delivered an impressive performance, securing fourth place overall in the catering corps competition while also claiming several first-place finishes in various individual contests.

The participation formed part of the Royal Army of Oman’s efforts to enhance the operational efficiency and professional capabilities of its catering personnel, while gaining valuable experience from military teams and specialists from around the world in logistical and administrative fields.

The exercise provided participants with a platform to exchange expertise, develop best practices, and strengthen skills related to military catering and support services under a range of operational conditions.

According to officials, the event also enabled the RAO team to improve its preparedness for exceptional circumstances that require a high level of readiness and efficient administrative and logistical systems in military environments.
