Shusha, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on June 23 visited the “Heydar Aliyev and Garabagh” exhibition at the Creativity Center in Shusha, which has been restored by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The exhibition showcases photographs, documents, and video materials highlighting the contributions of National Leader Heydar Aliyev to the political, economic, social, and cultural development of the Garabagh region. It also features photographs from his visits to Garabagh, along with records of meetings and events he attended there.

Visitors are presented with an overview of the transformative period in the history of Garabagh and East Zangezur that began in 1969. Through a collection of photographs and video materials, the exhibition illustrates the extensive reforms initiated under Heydar Aliyev’s leadership across various sectors of life in the region despite challenging historical circumstances.

As part of the exhibition, attendees can also view “The Trace,” a documentary film dedicated to the life and political career of Heydar Aliyev, offering further insight into his legacy and role in Azerbaijan’s development.

The visit by the Azerbaijani and Turkmen leaders underscored the importance of cultural heritage and historical remembrance in strengthening ties between the two countries.
