Jordan Air Defences Intercept Four Iranian Missiles, No Casualties Reported
Amman, The Gulf Observer: Jordan’s air defence systems detected six missiles launched from Iranian territory toward the Kingdom on Wednesday and immediately engaged them after they entered Jordanian airspace, according to a source at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF).
In a statement carried by the Jordan News Agency (Petra), the source said Jordanian air defence forces successfully intercepted and shot down four of the incoming missiles.
The remaining two missiles fell in remote, uninhabited areas without causing any casualties or material damage, the statement added.
The military source said the armed forces remain on high alert and continue to monitor developments to safeguard Jordan’s airspace, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens.
No further details were immediately released regarding the incident or the nature of the missiles. Authorities said the situation is being closely monitored.
