UAE Aid Agency Concludes Participation in DIHAD 2026, Launches ‘Made for Good’ Charter
Dubai, The Gulf Observer: The UAE Aid Agency has concluded its participation as an official partner in the 22nd edition of the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development Conference and Exhibition (DIHAD 2026), highlighting the UAE’s commitment to strengthening coordination and integration in foreign aid efforts.
As part of its participation, the Agency organised a roundtable on foreign aid and launched the “Made for Good” Charter in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.
The roundtable brought together chief executives, directors, senior officials and representatives of UAE humanitarian and development institutions. Discussions focused on enhancing coordination among national entities, integrating their efforts and programmes, and aligning foreign aid initiatives with national priorities.
Participants also discussed developing a joint operating model to improve the efficiency of foreign aid and maximise its sustainable humanitarian and developmental impact. The discussions addressed compliance with regulatory frameworks and international foreign aid reporting requirements, as well as coordination, data-sharing mechanisms and unified media messaging to ensure consistency in the UAE’s institutional identity at regional and international forums.
Dr. Tareq Ahmed Al Ameri, Chairman of the UAE Aid Agency, reaffirmed the Agency’s commitment to strengthening a participatory approach that brings together UAE entities involved in foreign aid within a more integrated and effective national system for implementing humanitarian programmes, development projects and charitable initiatives.
He stressed the importance of directing foreign aid towards the actual needs of beneficiary countries and communities, in line with global priorities and efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.
Al Ameri said the Agency’s participation in DIHAD 2026 featured a wide range of activities and events over three days, enabling visitors and international institutions to learn about the Agency’s work and the various forms of foreign aid provided by the UAE around the world.
He added that the Agency held important bilateral meetings and roundtables addressing key challenges facing the humanitarian aid sector. The participation also included the signing of two cooperation agreements with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy and the UAE Space Agency.
The Agency also launched the “Made for Good” Charter in partnership with the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, aimed at enhancing the contribution of national entities and companies to foreign aid programmes and projects.
The Charter was signed by the Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation for Humanitarian Works, the Sakr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation, the Sharjah Charity Association, the International Humanitarian Organisation, Dubai Humanitarian, and Dar Al Ber Society.
The signatories affirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and leveraging national capabilities, products and services to support foreign aid initiatives and contribute to sustainable economic, humanitarian and developmental impact.
The UAE Aid Agency’s pavilion attracted numerous officials from international organisations as well as humanitarian and development workers. Visitors were briefed on the UAE’s experience in foreign aid, its contribution to improving living conditions and quality of life for beneficiaries, and the sustainable impact generated through its humanitarian, development and charitable projects.
