Lavrov Urges UN Chief to Examine Russian Claims on Bucha Events
Moscow, The Gulf Observer: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov handed a report concerning what Moscow describes as the falsification of events in Bucha to United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres during their meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, Lavrov called on the UN Secretariat to conduct a detailed examination of the facts surrounding the events in Bucha.
The ministry said Lavrov presented Guterres with a report titled “Heirs of Goebbels: Falsification of the Events in Bucha and Bloody Staged Performances of the Kiev Regime.” The report was prepared by the International Public Tribunal on the Crimes of Ukrainian Neo-Nazis, headed by Maxim Grigoryev, a member of Russia’s Civic Chamber.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said the report seeks to challenge what Moscow describes as false information concerning the Bucha events.
According to the ministry’s statement, Lavrov urged the UN Secretariat to conduct a comprehensive examination of the facts surrounding what Russia characterizes as a staged incident and alleged involvement by Ukraine and its NATO partners.
The claims presented by the Russian side represent Moscow’s position on the Bucha events.
