Oman’s Sultan Haitham to Pay State Visit to Kazakhstan on October 5-6

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik of Oman will undertake a state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan from October 5 to 6, 2026, the Diwan of Royal Court announced on Saturday.

According to the statement, the visit comes in consolidation of the bonds of friendship between Oman and Kazakhstan and in response to an invitation extended to Sultan Haitham by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan.

The visit will focus on exploring avenues to expand and deepen bilateral cooperation, with the aim of elevating relations between the two countries and achieving shared objectives across various fields.

The discussions are expected to culminate in outcomes that serve the common interests of Oman and Kazakhstan.

Sultan Haitham will be accompanied by a high-level official delegation comprising His Highness Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Lieutenant General Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office; Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister; Sultan bin Salim Al Habsi, Minister of Finance; Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office; Abdulsalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, President of the Oman Investment Authority; Anwar bin Hilal Al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion; and Sheikh Dr. Salah bin Salim Jaaboub, Oman’s Ambassador to Kazakhstan.

The visit is expected to provide an opportunity for the two sides to strengthen bilateral ties and advance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
