President Xi congratulates Global Center for sustainable transport on its establishment

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday sent a congratulatory letter to the Global Innovation and Knowledge Center for Sustainable Transport on its establishment.

Xi pointed out that promoting sustainable global transport development and global connectivity is of great significance in ensuring a stable and smooth global logistics supply chain and promoting the development of the world economy.

The establishment of the Global Innovation and Knowledge Center for Sustainable Transport is an important step to support the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, Xi said.

China is willing to work with other countries to make full use of this center as a platform to promote global transport cooperation and contribute to the promotion of the Global Development Initiative, the implementation of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the building of a community with a shared future for mankind, he said.

The opening ceremony of the Global Innovation and Knowledge Center for Sustainable Transport was held in Beijing on the same day.
