Qatari-Turkish Supreme Strategic Committee meeting
H.E. The Turkish President welcomed H.H. The Amir of Qatar and the accompanying delegation, noting the importance of the meetings of the Supreme Strategic Committee and the meetings that take place between officials of the two countries in order to strengthen the Qatari-Turkish strategic relations, explaining that he had a fruitful bilateral meeting with H.H. The Amir of Qatar during which relations between the two countries were evaluated, where His Excellency praised the will of the two countries and their aspiration to deepen and enhance cooperation and solidarity.
He also referred to the volume of investments between the two countries in various fields, expressing his thanks and appreciation for the support provided to Turkish companies operating in the State of Qatar, stressing the provision of full support for Qatari investments in Turkey in various sectors such as defense and technology, in addition to providing Turkish support in the framework of implementing Qatar National Vision 2030.
In his speech on this occasion, the Turkish President outlined the various fields of cooperation, especially those related to energy and favorable opportunities, especially in the sisterly Lebanese Republic and the friendly Republic of Kazakhstan, looking forward also to the fact that the agreements that will be signed today will contribute to achieving the strong cooperation aspiration of the two brotherly peoples at various levels.
For his part, H.H. The Amir expressed his thanks and appreciation to H.E. The Turkish President for the generous hospitality he received and the accompanying delegation, stressing that these meetings, which have been held since 2015, strengthen the relations of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in various fields, which reflects the nature of the distinguished relations, which is a model of successful bilateral partnership and projects, which was a tool for accelerating implementation and achieving common aspirations.
In his speech, H.H. The Amir explained that holding this session’s meeting coincides with the passing of fifty years of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, which witnessed great development, looking forward to intensifying coordination and continuing to discover more opportunities between the two sides.
H.H. The Amir also referred to Qatar’s hosting of FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 next month, and to the number of tickets booked from Turkey. On this occasion, His Highness invited H.E. the Turkish President, and expressed his welcome to all Turkish fans to come to the State of Qatar, and enjoy the matches and the atmosphere of the tournament. .
During the meeting, both discussed the strong strategic relations between the two countries in various fields, especially the political field, trade, economic and investment partnership, energy, industry, transportation, education and media, in addition to strengthening cooperation in the health and tourism sector and projects related to hosting the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
The two sides also exchanged views on the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, especially the situation in Palestine, Syria and Yemen.
