Bahrain-USA economic and trade partnership grows
Manama, The Gulf Observer: Bahrain’s Industry and Commerce Minister Zayed bin Rashid Alzayani stressed the importance of strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States of America. He highlighted economic opportunities in Bahrain, which represents an incentive for American companies to invest and expand their business in the Kingdom.
He noted the American Trade Zone and its role in enhancing economic, commercial and industrial cooperation, and advancing bilateral trade between the two countries towards greater horizons in accordance with the advantages of the Free Trade Agreement signed by the two countries, in addition to the investment opportunities available in the region.
The minister made the statement as he visited, along with Bahrain Ambassador to the USA Shaikh Abdulla bin Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa to the Salman Industrial Town.
He noted that the project to provide the American business zone with infrastructure is one of the most prominent schemes listed in the industrial strategy 2022-2026.
The minister pointed out that the detailed designs for the project have been completed, adding that coordination is being made for its tendering. Alzayani praised the efforts by the Kingdom’s embassy in the USA to promote Bahrain’s investment opportunities, which contributes to boosting the volume of trade exchanges.
Head of Political and Economic Affairs at the Embassy of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain Elizabeth Hatting participated in the visit.
