Kazakhstan, Russia forge deals for construction of three CHPs

St. Petersburg, The Gulf Observer: Samruk Kazyna and Inter RAO – Export signed agreements on projects for construction of three CHPs in Kazakh cities of Kokshetau, Semey, and Ust-Kamenogorsk, according to media reports.

According to the press service of the Samruk Kazyna fund, as part of the working visit of the Kazakh Head of State to St. Petersburg, Chairman of the Board of the Fund Nurlan Zhakupov held meetings with Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC Firm ORGRES Sultan Yakhyaev and Director-General of Inter RAO – Export Maksim Sergeev.

As part of the meetings, agreements on cooperation between Samruk Kazyna and Inter RAO – Export on projects for construction of three CHPs in Kazakh cities of Kokshetau, Semey, and Ust-Kamenogorsk as well as Samruk Energo and LLC Firm ORGRES on construction of power units at the Ekibastuz GRES-1 with the use of Russian equipment were signed, reads the post on the Fund’s official Instagram account.
