Turkmenistan MoE Announces State Olympiad in Foreign Languages for Short-Term Training Students

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has officially declared the organization of a state Olympiad in foreign languages for students enrolled in educational institutions of all forms of ownership providing short-term training. This announcement was made via Turkmenportal, highlighting the ministry’s commitment to promoting linguistic proficiency and academic excellence among the nation’s youth.

The competition is structured into three rounds, scheduled for February 4, February 18, and March 10, respectively, and will be hosted at various educational institutions across Turkmenistan. The inaugural round is slated to take place directly in the educational centers of the country, followed by the second round in universities across all velayats. The culminating third and final stage is scheduled to unfold at the prestigious Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, named after D. Azadi, located in Ashgabat.

Designed to uncover and recognize the most talented students, the Olympiad also seeks to inspire a heightened interest in foreign language acquisition among Turkmen youth. Open to participants from educational institutions of all forms of ownership, including private educational centers, the competition provides a platform for showcasing linguistic prowess and cultural understanding.

In a bid to ensure the seamless execution of the Olympiad, the Innovation and Information Center of Turkmenistan recently conducted an online joint meeting of the Central and velayat organizing committees. The meeting, as reported by the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age,” aimed to coordinate efforts, streamline logistics, and guarantee the success of this significant academic event.

The Ministry of Education encourages active participation from students across the nation and believes that the Olympiad will not only serve as a platform for academic competition but also foster a spirit of camaraderie and mutual learning among participants.
