Mohammed bin Salman Promotes Gulf Unity
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, during the 3rd meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, expressed his commitment to further efforts aimed at realizing the vision of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. The aspiration is centered around achieving the unity of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and fostering stability and prosperity for their people.
Co-chairing the meeting alongside Bahrain’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, in Riyadh on Wednesday, the Crown Prince emphasized the significance of the activities and initiatives carried out by the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council. He highlighted the importance of cooperation across various sectors and praised the deep-rooted historical relations between the two kingdoms and their peoples.
In his speech, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman underscored the tangible benefits of the Council’s initiatives, expressing confidence that they align with the aspirations of leadership and contribute to the welfare of citizens in both countries. He also expressed his commitment to the vision of King Salman for Gulf unity and prosperity.
Prince Salman bin Hamad, in his speech, commended the distinguished relations and historical ties between Bahrain and Saudi Arabia. He emphasized the pivotal role of these meetings in strengthening strategic partnerships and pushing joint cooperation towards new horizons for mutual prosperity and development.
Prince Salman acknowledged the efforts of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in supporting various initiatives and projects aimed at achieving integration and development for both countries. He specifically praised the ongoing initiatives of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council, working to put shared aspirations and visions into practice.
During the meeting, the opening of the first office of the Saudi-Bahraini Company and the completion of the King Abdullah Medical City Hospital in Bahrain were announced. The company, established in November 2022 between the Saudi Public Investment Fund and Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, involved a $5 billion investment. The King Abdullah Medical City Hospital is set to commence operations in the second quarter of 2024.
Various projects related to training opportunities, incubating private sector institutions in artificial intelligence, networking, electronic data sharing, and partnerships between private sector institutions in health and product handling were also announced. The meeting witnessed the signing of several agreements and memoranda of understanding in energy, economy, finance, financial markets, legal, culture, education, administrative development, health, television, radio, and news.
The 4th meeting of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council is scheduled to be held in Bahrain as both nations continue their commitment to enhancing bilateral relations and promoting shared prosperity.
