Direct Flights Launched Between Kazakhstan and Cyprus

Astana, The Gulf Observer: In a significant development, during the official meeting between Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, Murat Nurtleu, and Foreign Minister of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos, on March 24, a memorandum of mutual understanding on air communications was signed, according to media reports.

The memorandum paves the way for increased connectivity between the two nations, allowing airlines from both Kazakhstan and Cyprus to operate up to seven flights a week. Under the terms of the agreement, Kazakhstani airlines will have the opportunity to conduct flights to Larnaca and Paphos, while Cyprus air companies will gain access to Astana and Almaty.

This milestone agreement is anticipated to foster greater economic, business, and tourist ties between Kazakhstan and Cyprus.
