Uzbek Culture Days Elevate Cultural Collaboration with Tajikistan

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Uzbek Culture Days are underway in Dushanbe, fostering a renewed spirit of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Organized by the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan, the event encompasses a series of activities aimed at deepening cultural ties between the two nations. These include conferences bringing together the creative and scientific intelligentsia from both Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, a concert featuring performances by Uzbek and Tajik artists, Uzbek Cinema Days, theatrical tours from Uzbek theaters to Tajikistan, and a concert by the renowned Maqom ensemble named after Yunus Rajabi.

A distinguished delegation of cultural and artistic representatives, led by People’s Artist of Uzbekistan and Minister of Culture Ozodbek Nazarbekov, along with People’s Artist of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Farrukh Zakirov, and People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Abduhoshim Ismailov, has arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the festivities.

Notable figures gracing the event include Hero of Uzbekistan and People’s Artist Munojat Yulchiyeva, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan and Honored Artist of Tajikistan Yulduz Usmanova, People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Ogabek Sabirov, as well as Honored Artists of Uzbekistan Gulbahor Erkulova, Ilyas Arabov, Masuma Boltaboyeva, Aygul Nodirova, among others.

A highlight of the program is the joint Friendship Concert scheduled for April 18, featuring performances by Uzbek and Tajik artists alongside talented young performers. The concert will showcase a blend of traditional and contemporary musical expressions from both countries, celebrating the enduring friendship between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.

During his visit, Minister Ozodbek Nazarbekov took the opportunity to inspect the preparations for the concert and engaged in discussions with the organizers, reaffirming the commitment to strengthen cultural exchanges and foster mutual understanding between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
