China and Pakistan Reaffirm Strategic Cooperative Partnership
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: China and Pakistan have reaffirmed their all-weather strategic cooperative partnership and the enduring friendship between the two nations during a visit by a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) official to Pakistan.
Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, led a CPC delegation on a visit to Pakistan from Thursday to Saturday. During this visit, Liu met with key Pakistani leaders, including President of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, and Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir. The delegation also engaged with various social sectors in Pakistan.
Liu participated in the China-Pakistan Political Parties Forum and the third meeting of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Political Parties Joint Consultation Mechanism, where he delivered a significant speech.
Throughout the visit, both sides committed to implementing new strategic understandings reached by their leaders, enhancing inter-party exchanges, and deepening mutual learning on governance. They also emphasized promoting high-quality joint construction of the CPEC and fostering an even closer China-Pakistan community with a shared future in the new era.
