Amir of Qatar and President of Poland Hold Official Talks
Warsaw, The Gulf Observer: The Amir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and the President of the Republic of Poland, His Excellency Andrzej Duda, convened for an official session of talks at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw on Friday.
At the outset of the session, HE President Duda welcomed HH the Amir and his accompanying delegation, highlighting the strong ties of friendship and cooperation between Qatar and Poland. HE the President noted that this visit reflects the depth of the outstanding relationships between the two countries, affirming his eagerness to work jointly to elevate these ties to broader levels across various fields. He also praised Qatar’s diplomatic and humanitarian efforts, particularly in Gaza and Ukraine.
HH the Amir expressed his gratitude for the warm reception during his visit, emphasizing the opportunity it presents to discuss issues of shared interest and ways to support and enhance bilateral and strategic relationships. During their talks, they explored prospects for strengthening bilateral relations to serve mutual strategic interests, particularly in the areas of energy, technology, education, and defense. They also discussed regional issues and current developments, including those in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
Attending the session from Qatar were Chief of the Amiri Diwan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, Minister of State for Energy Affairs HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Thani, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs HE Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, along with several members of the official delegation. The Polish side included Chief of the Chancellery of the President HE Malgorzata Paprocka, Head of the Cabinet of the President HE Marcin Mastalerek, Head of the International Policy Bureau HE Mieszko Pawlak, Special Envoy of the President for the Development of International Trade Cooperation and Polish Investments Abroad HE Ambassador Rafal Kos, along with other high-ranking government officials.
Following the official talks, HH the Amir and HE the Polish President held a bilateral meeting to further explore avenues of cooperation between their countries and discuss mutual interests. In honor of HH the Amir and his delegation, HE President Duda hosted an official luncheon banquet at the Presidential Palace. HH the Amir was also accorded an official reception ceremony upon his arrival at the Palace.
